K-12 Institute: Towards Thriving Students | May 17, 2018

This is a one-day Self-Reg K-12 Learning Institute from The MEHRIT Centre, Ltd.

Recent advances in developmental neuroscience are dramatically altering attitudes towards the possibility of maximizing the educational potential of every child. We now understand that the better children can self-regulate, the better they can rise to the challenge of mastering ever more complex skills and concepts. But what exactly is self-regulation, how does it develop, why do some children and teens struggle with it more than others, and what can we do to enhance its development?

Your day: Each session is co-led by Dr. Stuart Shanker and members of the TMC team, including Executive Director Dr. Susan Hopkins.

We will provide a fresh, locally-sourced lunch as well as snacks.
